The Centre

A beautiful well-sourced service located in Tempe is seeking a Centre Director to join their team on a full-time basis. This non-profit, medium-sized service is deeply committed to sustainability and nature play, with beautiful, spacious outdoor areas that bring their philosophy to life. They highly value collaboration with families and the community to ensure the children are provided with the highest quality education possible.

This is a fantastic rewarding opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and experience working in stand-alone centres who is ready to make a real impact and grow alongside the service.

The Role

As Centre Director, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of passionate educators, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture
  • Managing daily operations, including enrolments, budgeting, and administrative tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of quality care
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the local community
  • Driving strategic planning and ensuring the centre's long-term sustainability and growth
  • Overseeing the centre curriculum based on the EYLF and NQF
  • Driving quality in practices in line with the National Quality Standards
  • Mentoring and guiding the service philosophy
  • Being enthusiastic, positive, productive and conduct oneself in a professional manner

About You

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Bachelors or Diploma of Early Childhood Education OR ACECQA-approved
  • Minimum 2-5 years prior experience as a Centre Director
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Manager
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Recent Child Protection/Safeguarding training
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and QIP
